Mitsubishi Motors Corp. plans to sell a Renault-based midsized car in the United States under a new strategic tie-up between Mitsubishi and the Renault-Nissan alliance. The car will be the first of two Renault-based sedans sold by Mitsubishi under a product and technology exchange announced by the companies today.

The Japanese show always attracts some crazy cars, and it's built a reputation as one of the few shows where you see some properly out-there concept cars. Toyota won't disappoint this year...
Saab has been caught testing a 9-3 with a diesel hybrid engine, according to press reports in Sweden. It seems that France's PSA won't have the diesel-hybrid market all to itself. A reporter from Automobil magazine spotted a 9-3 prototype refuelling at a petrol station in Trollhattan as he returned a test car to the factory.
